LYRICS: They know what we’re drinking, precisely where we’re are at When we’re leaving town, even what we feed our cats They capture all our data, help us plan our flights Got us on their traffic cams, yeah, they track us day and night Orson Welles warned us. Big brother destiny Artificial intelligence, natural stupidity Precise advertisements, come after private chats Telling us what to buy, even where to find it at They're reading our Email, track us on our phones Monitor text messages, and the voices in our homes Know how many squares you use. Monitor your sleep Now they’re speaking to us. Into our lives they creep Chorus - repeats They Know more about us, than we want them to Stripping away our privacy, in their digital zoos Not much we need to know, thanks to AI Then again … we gotta ask … Do we want our brains to die? Chorus - repeats So, Turn off those cookies Don’t click on the links Take back your privacy And remember … don’t forget to think Don’t forget to think Don’t forget to think

LYRICS: They’ll do just what they want, Ain't given nothing back No apologies, no regrets, that’s just where they’re at They were raised to believe, that They’re living righteous lives As they cut away to the world’s dismay, With their little soft dull knives It’s all about them, not you and me, they brag that's how they roll Fact is, bad cannot be good, When it’s deep inside their soul You hear em talk in circles, self-serving views In denial of the facts, as their crimes make evening news V4: Democracy, hell, they’ll redefine it, yeah, they’ll put us our place Disregard the constitution, as they smile and lie to our face It’s all about them, not you and me, that's how they roll But fact is, bad cannot be good, when it’s deep inside their soul It's all about them, not you and me Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree The Scariest part is not, the perpetrator of the crime It’s the fools that some of us become, rallying on their side People pointing left and right, but who cares what party you’re in? We don’t need a political fight, when we’re talkin constitutional sin It’s all about them, not you and me, they brag that's how they roll Fact is, bad cannot be good, when it’s deep inside their soul No, bad cannot be good When it’s deep inside your soul Deep Inside Your Soul

LYRICS: That old man, he ain't goin away, he's still got a few things left to say Got books to read, plenty o’ songs to hear. Catch some fish, have a few more sips of beer Now, that old lady, she plans to stay. No good reason for her to say goodbye Got things to do, and places to go, she’ll be sure to tell you when it’s time to die These old folks are here today. They prefer to defer judgement day Living life like it will not last, you can treat em’ nice or u can kiss their ass They put their hearts into their families. Lifetimes as loving moms and dads Fought battles, and toiled in their jobs, seen their share of joy, and plenty of sad Yeah, old folk’s stories, they do age. While their bodies slowdown their pace Their experiences are wrapped in “sage”, hiding a life of struggles and pain with grace Can’t imagine what they’ve experienced. They've done things that’ll blow the mind Their lives, like lightning in a bottle, be surprised at the treasures you can find These old folks are here today. They prefer to defer judgement day Living life like it will not last. You can treat em’ nice or u can kiss their ass A lotta people discount the past. Think knowledge is brand spanking new. But Sitting down with an aging soul, is the smartest thing any of us can do Yeah, they’re Living life like it will not last. You can treat em’ nice or u can kiss my ass

about

Complex Truths confronts major societal themes that deserve attention. I'm not promoting some sort of political idealism, just hoping to drive positive change through the album's 10 originals that fuse folk, country, and rock into into an Americana vibe offering uptempo - but serious takes on the major topics on most of our minds today.

released November 1, 2022

Guitarists from Naples Italy, London UK, and Austin USA have major parts in bringing these tracks to life, in addition to a team in Portland Oregon playing and producing the album; more on this later.
